Welcome to our little corner of the world where we capture the most precious moments of your life. We are Bethany and John, a husband and wife duo, who are passionate about preserving the magic of your journey as a family, from the first blush of love to the laughter-filled days of parenthood.

We specialize in newborn, children, and family photography, and our home base is in the beautiful city of Washington, DC. Our love for this city is evident in every frame we capture, and we believe it provides the perfect backdrop for your family's story.

Our journey together began when we met, fell in love, and decided to start a new chapter of our lives in Washington, DC. This city has become a part of us, and we are thrilled to share its beauty with you through our lens. We love a great portrait, but our favorites are always the styled candids of families together or new parents snuggling their days-old babe.

Our Story

We met at a progressive dinner, where the courses are hosted at different houses. John made a pineapple upside-down cake and a s'mores pie, while Bethany made a chocolate birthday cake. Our second get-together was on December 21, and John invited a "group of friends" to visit the Botanic Gardens. It turned out to be just us and our friend Ben. Every year, Bethany asks if we can go on another two-on-one date (The Bachelorette, anyone?). We planned an intimate wedding at the Hay-Adams with 40 people in just 10 weeks. Our dear friend Brooke was able to attend, for which we are very grateful. Both sets of parents planned celebrations in our hometowns of Kingsport, TN, and Pittsburgh.
