Kate Thornton

Kate is the founder and lead photographer at Captured by Kate Photography. With over 20 years of experience, she has a keen eye for capturing genuine moments and emotions. Kate's style is photojournalistic, and she aims to tell the story of your day through her images.

Larry

Larry has been Kate's right-hand man for the past five years. He is a Charleston native and has been an integral part of the Captured by Kate team. Larry started as an intern and has since become an associate photographer, second wedding photographer, and office assistant. He is great with kids and dogs and brings a fun and positive energy to every shoot.

Our Approach

We believe that every relationship is unique, and we strive to get to know each of our clients personally. We ask questions about how you met, how you spend your time, who your closest family and friends are, and most importantly, what your dreams and wishes are for your wedding or photography session.
